Brand Manager

The Role

Brand managers work to ensure that a brand remains recognisable, up to date and exciting to customers. Brand managers support ways to promote – and change the public perception of – brands. Organisations hire brand managers to work ‘in-house’ on their own brands, where it is likely that they will work solely on a single brand. It is also possible for brand managers to work at a marketing agency, where they may be working on a number of brands for different clients. Brand Managers are also responsible for making sure that branding is consistent across advertising and campaigns

Job Description

  • 1x monthly Internal Newsletter
  • 1x External Company Newsletter
  • Creation of bi-weekly blog posts for Mailman’s WeChat account
  • Analyse market reactions to China events or trends through preparing 1x industry presentation / month
  • Be responsible for pushing social media & video content production from the wider team on Mailman social channels, including WeChat & Weibo
  • 1x quarterly internal major Mailman initiative
  • 10x case studies collected / month
  • Consolidate top MM posts to be built into the blog
  • Initiate and own the company podcast
  • Mailman in the community - ensure Mailman stays relevant and in touch
  • Responsibility for upkeep of the Mailman website: copy changes, new sections, updates, images, design, etc

Requirements

  • Become an important team player and get to know each and every colleague
  • Loves sports, social media and digital trends
  • Knowledge of digital & social media, marketing and general industry
  • Assertiveness, high energy and attention to detail
  • Accountability for project requirements: make a decision and own it
  • High quality presentation skills in written, Keynote and verbal
  • Prior experience in Public Relations helps
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal in English and Chinese - Confident dealing with clients and internal resources
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
