9th March, 2011

PRESS RELEASE:  It is 3 hours behind in Shanghai, where an ambitious ‘Melbourne born’ entrepreneur officially launches the ‘exclusively public’ online sports network thebigtip.com.au. Realised by China based entrepreneur Andrew Collins the network is now boasting over 450 public sports journalists after it was canned by senior investment and industry professionals as ‘too difficult’ is now taking a serious chunk of online sports media as the network plays a natural game to the affinity of the general public.

Thebigtip is an online sports network driven by user submission.  Anyone with a fair and ‘brutally honest’ opinion are invited to contribute direct to the site.  The sites marketing team then feature and distribute the content in a professional manner that gives the average opinion leader great exposure.  Content is often featured across other personal blogs, facebook and video sites such as youtube.

CEO of Mailman Group, Andrew Collins says ‘We’re simply ensuring the real public opinion is heard, not what is distributed online through major press but from the horses mouth; they’re the real expects.”  Since its establishment 12 months ago thebigtip has attracted major sponsors including Betfair and Centrebet; although Collins states “I’ve never been a punter myself; but the interest from betting agencies to support was overwhelming.”  Collins further adds “We have ambitions of connecting with mainstream media, provided the values of our business remain true.”

Thebigtip was created by Mailman.
