The International Basketball Federation (FIBA) formed a partnership with Twitter, in time for the 2014 World Cup

The deal between the two parties will also include the FIBA World Championship for Women, starting on 27th September in Turkey.
The social network will provide fans with live scores from every game of each tournament. Simply by tweeting ‘@FIBA scores’, fans can find out in real time their team’s score.
Additionally, Twitter’s Vine Booth and Twitter Mirror events-focused services will be used to provide an off-court insight into competing players during the tournaments.
The USA and Spain, ranked one and two in the world respectively, are widely expected to meet in the final of the men’s event on 14th September at the Palacio de Deportes de la Comunidad de Madrid.
