Mailman Launches Cult Celebrity Fashion in China

With A-listers like Fergie, Alicia Keys, LiLo & Pink, luxe Streetwear fashion by KRMA now found on Taobao!

Hollywood, CA. – Over the last decade, crops of young designers have popped up all over Los Angeles. Like the world of reality celebrities and their pop culture influence, Los Angeles has emerged as the fashion underdog that the world should pay close attention to. This certainly earns tinsel-town the title of North America’s West End, as in London’s iconic incubator district, where influential young Brit’s in the 70’s & 80’s challenged and changed an entire fashion establishment forever. Now with Los Angeles’ in flux of young international brands banking on a piece of American pie, (sales & celebs) LA has become a platform for what’s next in fashion.

Australian born, Los Angeles based designer Nicholas Bowes and his Street luxe wear line KRMA, (Kangaroos Roam Mainland Australia) have partnered with the Mailman Group to create an exclusive online store front for Chinese with Taobao.  Now giving LA ‘would be’ fashion trend setters the opportunity to follow in the footsteps of many celebrities.  Since arriving in LA, KRMA has created a cult following with vintage graphic tees, perfect wovens, rock star leather leggings, and his now iconic cropped leather jackets that pals Pink and Alicia Keyes, just can’t get enough of. Add Lindsay Lohan, Fergie and Vampire Diaries Nina Dobrev to Bowes’ roster of celebrity followers & you have a brand that’s become a street style must have. Nina Dobrev loves the KRMA line so much, she has approached Bowes to collaborate on a capsule collection of sexy leather jackets to launch Spring 2011. For Fall 2011 bowes will be expanding his Mens Collection in all areas “This will be a major push in my men’s items, and it will also allow me to expand my women’s collection world wide”. “A bit more contemporary and slightly higher price points but still very accessible”, Bowes says.

Currently KRMA can only be found at retailers like Barney’s, Bloomingdales and Fred Segal with the Taobao store is set to make a significant impression with Chinese fashion-ista’s.
