Mailman Delivers COPA90 Partnership in China

COPA90 and Mailman have officially signed a media partnership in China. Localised COPA90 content will be distributed to Chinese football fans through COPA90’s Chinese social media channels. These channels will include Weibo and Miaopai. Read more on Ecosports (Chinese) and The Drum (English)

Mailman Take: In the first 6 months, the main aim will be to build up a following and strong brand identity in China before creating unique content for China which can be commercialised with local partners. Mailman will look to build and grow COPA90’s brand awareness in China by localising content and launching official accounts on multiple social media platforms. Mailman and COPA 90 will also launch on the newest, most popular digital platforms such as Douyin to reach even wider demographics.


Inter Academy Camps in China

Inter Milan, in partnership with Suning Sports and Shenyang Aomei Sports Culture Communication, has opened two more football academies in Jiangsu province and Shenyang city. The aim of the Inter Academy is to support the development of youth football in China. Read more on Inter Milan Official Website (English)

  1. Mailman Take: Including Beijing, Shanghai, Chengdu and Hong Kong, Inter Milan now has the most youth training camps in China of any Italian clubs. As the home province of Suning Sports, Jiangsu is the latest location for Inter to open an academy. Suning Sports wants to position Nanjing, capital of Jiangsu province, as the home city of Inter Milan in China. Moreover, Inter Milan and Suning Sports see potential in Chinese tier-2 cities.

Chinese Sponsorships in the Region

Descente Names Daniel Wu as Brand Ambassador in China

Chinese celebrity and actor, Daniel Wu, will become the first Chinese brand ambassador of Japanese sportswear brand Descente. The announcement was made via Descente’s official Weibo account. Read more on Sohu (Chinese)

Dongfeng Nissan Renews Partnership with NBA China

Dongfeng Nissan has extended its strategic partnership deal with NBA China by three years. Nissan will continue to promote basketball and automobile culture and implement marketing campaigns to offer fans brand experience with immersive basketball engagement. Read more on Sohu (Chinese)

Dongfeng Fengshen Drives Sina 5X5 Golden Futsal League

The automobile brand, owned by Dongfeng Motor Corporation, has signed a cooperation agreement with Sina Sports to become the title sponsor of 2018 Sina 5X5 Golden Futsal League.
