Seven League was today announced on the shortlist for two prestigious Football Business Awards 2018, receiving recognition both within the “Agency of the Year” and “Innovation” categories.
The announcement comes ahead of the celebratory dinner and Awards Ceremony at the HAC on Thursday 22 November, as the football industry comes together to champion outstanding and pioneering work across all aspects of football business and marketing.
The “Agency of the Year” nomination comes off the back of an outstanding year of growth and performance, covering a 12-month period that saw Seven League grow from 14-26 members of staff, whilst nearly doubling revenue. Holding an enviable roster within football for the likes of Spurs, FC Barcelona, Leicester City and Newcastle, the past year also saw Seven League extend a partnership with Bundesliga International and further develop a relationship with UEFA which has spanned work with over 52 of the federation’s 55 National Football Associations.
The hotly contested “Innovation Award” shortlisting was given in acknowledgement of Seven League’s 2017 campaign with long-term client Tottenham Hotspur. In partnership with leading VR/AR production company Animal Vegetable Mineral, Seven League created “Lane 360” – a lasting monument to the atmosphere and history of White Hart Lane, commissioned by the club. Unveiled to mark the departure from the historic stadium, the explorable model of the ground is packed with embedded rich media to ensure the memories of White Hart Lane live on.
Richard Ayers, CEO of Seven League said:
“We are delighted to be recognised twice this year at the Football Business Awards 2018. Any recognition on behalf of the whole agency is naturally a source of pride, however it is always even more special when specific client work is honoured, as in the case of the Sports Innovation category. As a business, we are driven by a desire to not only advise but to actually deliver innovative work that truly inspires sporting properties, teams and brands to unlock world class digital performance. This award is validation of our journey so far, and an inspiration for what is set to be a very exciting year for Seven League.”
Earlier this month, Seven League joined forces with Mailman, the leading Chinese agency, to form the world’s leading digital sports agency. Key services include digital business transformation, content strategy and creation, and innovation insights within new and emerging technologies. Seven League’s highly respected full “digital audit” has come to be regarded as an industry kitemark that has fully assessed the digital health for some of the leading names in sport.
Seven League would like to thank the Football Business Awards for shortlisting us, and we also send congratulations to our fellow nominees!
