We are proud to announce the official Tottenham Hotspur FC China social network accounts.  The official voice was launched today across the two key China social networking sites Sina and Tencent Weibo and is expected to gather a significant following in China.

The discussion began over 10 months ago and ended with a thorough launch strategy and planned management ensuring Spurs are given the best chance possible to drive a successful following.  Through Mailman’s unique relationship with key media and online influencers the launch will include promotion through the big two social networks official accounts (both well over 4m followers), retweets from key online influencers, player videos and a focused content seeding strategy.

China presents a timely opportunity for Tottenham Hotspur as they begin to tackle what is already a mature football market place.  As the worlds largest population is beginning to engage with more EPL clubs, Mailman will support Tottenham’s aggressive, and personal approach to driving greater fan engagement with team videos, exclusive contests, unique opportunities to meet players and more.

Chinese fans have commonly been fickle with their favourite club, their allegiances changing depending on the club’s current wining state – with the Spurs on the verge of breaking into the Premier League top 4 and for a club of this size, developing their China voice is an important part of the overall global strategy.
